Saw on your wishlist for the clubsport muffler.
It completely changes the sound in the best way possible.

That's what I've been reading. Although I'm also torn on going the Remus exhaust route with quad tips to give it a bit of a unique look at the back. Won't be happening until at least late next year, I need to put some money aside for an emergency fund for the car to have a cushion if something happens. Coming up on 200,000km and I want to do some preventative maintenance first.

Been slow with updates due to winter weather. Hard to keep the car clean this time of year too. However, finally swapped up to 340 rotors and PP calipers in the front. Dirty picture of how well the badgeskins are holding up after about a month of cold temps. Can't wait to get the summers back on and take some pictures of the overall look. Had some bad cold starts after Christmas so I had it all carbon cleaned as well.

Spring goals;
  • Euro tails and mirror signals.
  • Submit a corrosion claim, starting to show signs at the front end of each skirt and at the underside of the hood.
  • Headlight (maybe bumper) PPF.
  • Refinish the Pretorias before summer; few chips and blemishes but no serious rash. Local VW sent me the contact info of the shop where they send their wheels for warranty repair.

How bad is the corrosion?
I'll take some pictures, it's not terrible but it's exactly where @Gray_Panther notes in their recent thread; right at the side skirt/rocker location at the wheel well. I'm a little worried that VW won't cover it, if they won't I'll take it back to the shop that did my earlier VW corrosion warranty claim.

Edit - haven't forgot about this, just waiting for some decent weather to wash the car and take a look.

Adding on to this, parts shop I have bookmarked (they've had a few 2-door parts cars in the past so had them saved for future stuff) had some pre-facelift fogs pop up on their page so I grabbed them. @Cuzoe convinced me it may be an easier retrofit than I thought.
P/N's are important since the trim around them (still need to source) is different compared to 2018+ bumpers for obvious reasons. I'm actually not positive if the light housing and mounting is the same across pre and post-facelift, but the fin trim certainly is.

Posted images below for reference. Need to also source the wiring harness (do not use, this is for a base golf. See further posts.) and the interior switch. May end up being a summer project.

Also pulled the trigger on some smoked OSRAM mirror signals as well. Headlights were amazing quality so happy to keep with this brand for the other signals.

Installed the turn signals today, didn't go very well to be honest but they look good. Driver's mirror cap popped off out of my grip and hit the ground, scratched it up some. Passenger's mirror cap busted a tab. Not too discouraged, they're about 50 bucks a piece to replace with OEM ones.

Weird fact, each mirror cap had a name, Driver's side was Patricia and Passenger's was Erika. Patricia is my late grandma's name which was kind of a coincidence.

Did a Spring deep-clean to take some photos for the corrosion claim. This is mostly it; front fenders coming down to the rocker, small bubble under the passenger rear-view, bubbling at the driver's door sill. I threw in photos of under the hood as a shot in the dark to see if I can get the whole hood replaced, starting to peel at the clear bra and it's pretty beat up from over 200k km of driving. If the hood is denied it might be a good excuse to get a carbon fiber replacement.

Geeze that rust is disconcerting though Canadian winters seem to be especially harsh on cars. Nevertheless she's still looking quite sharp!

Got it in for another corrosion claim last week. He worked some magic last time for me so fingers crossed he can pull through again this year.
They also had a beautiful King's Red 40th edition on the lot that got me tempted and I'm not even a red car guy. Really hard to let go of a two-door though.

EDIT; I'm now realizing why I'm confused.. the 40th comes in Tornado Red with a black roof. Nice homage, I still think I prefer Kings Red.

Crazy that they didn't drill the front bumper for the license plate while it was on the delivery truck
