This was a unplanned after hours thing lol, I do tend to dress like a frat boy after sweating my ass off in work clothes all day 🍻

Just don't toss on some Birkenstocks. Definitely not shop appropriate footwear.

For anyone reading this in future;

The offical (and imo easier) way to remove the bolts is to cut a slot into them with dremel and use heat gun to burn locktite off. I did it that way and it was super easy, just came out with a flat head screwdriver.

Do all mk7, mk7.5 GTI have the cage for the ecu? Ive a set of BFI mounts to install, sometime this year.......
(typing fast, so I can run outside to check mine).........................

I’ve never seen one with a cage personally, & have worked on dozens of US spec Mk7 & 7.5 cars

it appears I've no cage, just the plastic clip frame.
