I'd imagine a five star shop would want to avoid a lawsuit assuming it was obvious they screwed up. Especially to a regular customer that had dropped a bunch of money there in the past. To be fair I have no idea what that work entails on what he was having done.

I thought since it's an OEM steering wheel with just upgraded aesthetics and no added parts that it would be fine. Oh well. Hopefully a decent Euro shop won't charge too much. Any idea what an acceptable price would be for the install? Just curious.

Really? My mistake. It seemed simple enough. Honestly never crossed my mind they wouldn't do it. Lesson learned I guess.

Bought it from Eurozone Tuning. OEM besides the obvious carbon fiber/alcantara. Needs the DSG paddles, airbag, electronic controls and trim installed. I've watched the shopdap video on how to do most of it but I'd rather have a more seasoned person do it if possible. If anyone knows any...

I was so worried about breaking those damn tabs in the boots that I painstakingly ran wire down through the top out the other end multiple times. It worked but it added a few hours at least I bet. Definitely turns me off from even looking at the under side of those trim panels lol.

I figured as much. It was a pain to run the wiring for the Euro tails. Not hard just annoying. I’m glad I did it but I wouldn’t really want to do it again just for that light. I could always have VW do it at some point. Thanks again for the info!
