I haven't liked anything from EA since like the ps2. Ever since EA Big was cancelled.

BF4 is awesome…. I’ve heard 2042 is really bad in comparison

I'd still sooner play BF4 before any of the newer ones.

Many a late night in operation metro in BF4.

So, Elden Ring. If I've never played any of the other Souls games, think it'll be worth playing? They just never seemed like my type of game. But the ER hype is off the charts for many gamers.

I haven't either. I played Bloodborne and I sucked at it. I'll probably be getting Elden Ring day 1 though. I bought Returnal and a lot of people say that game is hard, but I loved it. I'm hoping something similar happens with Elden Ring. I keep seeing articles saying it'll be easier than previous souls games too, but no difficulty options.

If its like dark souls, bloodbourne, or shadows die twice - I want nothing to do with it. They shatter my confidence.

It really depends on how much of a challenge you want.
If you want a walk in the park, then obviously this game won't be for you.
But if you want to be challenged, and forced to learn how to adapt & overcome tough monsters, areas, and bosses then then give it a try for sure. Just go in it with the attitude "today's a good day to die"

this game is on my todo list along with dyling light 2. I played DS3, Sikerio, love dying a lot lol

Playing DL2 right now. DS3 and Bloodborne were the only FS games I finished, but I've enjoyed them all. Definitely getting Elden Ring next week.

Dark Souls isn't actually that difficult.

You just need to surmount the difficulty curve and then it becomes just like any other game where you got too powerful.

With a great shield you can just flat out tank most bosses.

I'm just terrible with melee weapons and parrying/blocking. Give me a ranged weapon with a dodge and I can get it done.

I was hoping I could do something like an archer that casts spells in Elden Ring. I'm not sure if that's possible or not, I haven't looked into things too much yet. Maybe I'll do something like the Samurai though. I dunno.

I wonder if you can specialize into abilities you don't start with.

I love me some archery. Yet I'll probably be playing ER instead of Horizon.

I have one of every character and they each have their own pros & cons. Check out Moxsy's YouTube channel and he'll get you to the build that compliments your playstyle. There's a ton of options for playstyles.

I do agree though that so much of the cut scenes are stupid but it ain't like Borderlands ever took itself serious in that respect. I have a few hundred hours in the main game and have all the DLC's too. Its a great game, IMO.

I've leveled up to 25 with the robot and am using that build out where you get that yellow circle when you push l1,it also makes the dog big and radioactive.
