The brace is in route and I plan to get it installed ahead of my first DE. So it will be interesting to see what it feels like on the street and track.

Verkline sells the lockout washers with there rear camber link.

I’ll post once I have everything on And am back at VIR at the end of April.

ECS Brake Booster Re-inforcement Bracket

Installed the re-inforcemen bracket. Pretty straightforward. Needed to tweak my battery box supports on my BFI mounts to get the bolts to line up. Tightening the lock nut was the trickiest part as access is limited.

This is the wrench I used.

interesting, I didn't even know master cylinder flex was a thing. Look forward to hearing if you think it makes a difference

Apparently it is a thing with Honda Civics. Figured I’d give it a try. Easy install. If it gives me some extra pedal “feel”, then I’m all for it. Will report back on how it feels on track.

Verkline Rear Trailing Arms - Next Weekends Project
This is my project for next weekend. Verkline RTA’s and Front LCA’s. Corner Balance and the alignment. That will have me all set for Barber Motorsports Park 4/2-3. Swop track pads in and do a brake bleed.
Then I need to get the motor dialed in. Injector and carbon cleaning needs to be done.

Keeping the RTA’s in the stock setting. The anti-squat is more for the straight line racers. Got a feeling my NVH is going to be more noticeable.

I signed up on Friday. The more MQB cars the better.

I had 255-40-17’s fitted at stock ride height. So 245’s will work.

Busy prepping my car for Barber on 4/3.
You think 255/40r17's would fit on a slightly lowered car? Probably a 1.5 inch drop - can mess with camber if necessary.

What is your fender to ground measurement? I’m at 26” FTG which is a moderate 5/8” drop. A 1.5” drop is a significant drop in my opinion. Ride height drop can be subjective.

Id think you will be OK, especially if you have the ability to dial in some camber.

Cobb ABS Pump Heat Shield
This arrived today. Need to drop my downpipe to get it fitted. I really like my Baun downpipe, but it does run closer to the stock plastic heat shield like all larger aftermarket downpipes.
I added a temp strip to the ABS pump and it has not activated. Still think that this has to help, Even if its a little.

Looking to increase the front track on my GTi with the Verkline front LCA. I added 10mm to my rear track when I added the +5mm eccentric lock-out washers in the rear.
Moving the lower ball joint on the Verkline LCA increases the track 30mm (15mm on each side). Just checked the tie rod and there is approximately 27mm of adjustment of track width increase on each side.

Awesome lap Ronnie! We are so very similar in terms of car speed and lap times. Same Vmax down the back straight 142mph and 136 mph down the front. You’re getting great corner speed through T10. Uphill esses the same. You are faster than me through Hogpen by 3-4mph! Our corner speeds are the same through most corners.
You are looking super relaxed behind the wheel and the car appears to be well balanced and is getting the power down.
I’ll have to take a closer look at our PB‘s to pick out the differences but they will be really small details here and there. I suspect that I’m braking a fractionally deeper in a few areas.

You are hustling my friend. Not sure folks realize how hard you have to drive to get a 2:10-2-:11 at VIR in our cars.
Great Job!!

Just wrapped up my first event of the year at VIR. Ran the Full Course Monday and Tuesday, with great weather both days. Set a PB of 2:11:29 on the second day chasing a C6 Z06 with full aero.

Great video. Love watching folks send it at VIR.

Thanks Joe, I know you’re extremely familiar with this type of driving at the limit…it’s a bit of organized chaos. I spent the first few sessions forcing myself to be smooth, focused, and calm. Then later sessions I had more open track and started to push the limits. I’m ecstatic with how the car responded and I’m confident it’s capable of 2:10s with some small changes to braking and turn-in points. I’m leaving time on the table at the lower esses and the braking zone into the roller coaster. Hog pen is arguably my favorite section of the track because I’m in a controlled four wheel slide there. 😅
