A hair over $16k, but only a handful of S trim cars have popped up under $17k that I've seen. If $16k would have been the asking price in the before-times, maybe it's best to wait.
Given the current market how does everyone feel about a 2016 SE PP 6MT w/ Stratified Pro-tune (on stock clutch) for $18.5k? 46k miles. Found through a private party.
My gut makes me feel like this is still a bit high compared to pre-covid prices.
Hah, I'm still a little shy of having been alive for 30 years. Never the less, I'm mad at myself for missing out on these until now. My family is a 'buy only American cars' type, and I haven't been in the market for a car (as opposed to a truck) since I was in high school.

I just became familiar with the GTI (such a cool little car!). I'm now leaning towards an MK7/7.5 as a DD / commuter and retiring my old pickup to camping / dirt bike duty only. (Specifically looking at 6MT, SE or Autobahn, under 50k miles. Likely to go stage 1 for smiles).
